Fashion is extremely versatile and is often interpreted as freedom of expression for many.

However, there's something that we can all agree on - and that's that we wear our bras for a little longer than we like to admit.

Bra fitter and TikTok star Nicola Crook has shined light on the surprising reality of the life expectancy of our bras.

The viral video - which has already surpassed 400,000 views to date - has left viewers in utter disbelief with the answer that's frankly "so expensive".

Taking to the social media streaming platform, Nicola shared set the record straight and sparked controversy at the same time - claiming a bra should last just 30 days.

Despite Nicola spilling the secrets on the shocking truth, several people in the comment section were quick to disagree - with many suggesting that a new bra every month was was simply too pricey.

One user fumed: "I don’t have enough money for that."

"What!?!? NOOO!! That’s kinda the worst tho cos women need them & good ones are so expensive!" A second penned beside a crying emoji.

"Who can afford that? Hilarious," a third added.

Nicola responded to the comment and clarified: "This is only if you have one bra and you wear it all day everyday."

Others fled to the comment section to debunk Nicola's reveal - with some having worn the same bra for several years.

"I've been having same bras for pass year or more," a viewer admitted.

A second revealed: "I had my last one for 7yrs."
