Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann has big plans for future after DNA test results

A Polish woman who believes she is Madeline McCann has shared with Dr Phil what her future plans are once she has received the results of her DNA test.

Julia Faustyna, 21, appeared on the popular American talk show on Monday and told the US talk show host that she is certain she is the missing British child who vanished while on a family holiday in Praia De Luz, Portugal, in 2007.

Julia, who also goes by the name of Julia Wendell or Julia Wandelt, explained she has always been suspicious of her birth story and family. She said her mum would change the subject when she brought up her concerns and has withheld key documentation such as her birth certificate, the Mirror reports.

She is currently waiting for DNA results which will determine if she really is Madeline McCann. Dr Phil asked why she hadn't approached Scotland Yard for DNA testing, as they would be able to compare her samples to that of the missing child.

She claimed however that she had attempted to contacted the organisation but to no avail and now she is awaiting the results of an ancestry test to discover the truth.

Dr Phil continued to push on the point and asked what Julia would do if in fact the Polish couple who raised her were her biological family, she firmly stated: "I believe I am Madeleine McCann.

"If she is my mother, I don’t want to have contact with her that’s all, but I believe she isn’t my mother."

Julia continued to nail down her beliefs and insisted she will undergo any test necessary for her to prove her claim. As part of her "evidence", Julia discussed how the first six pages on her health book every Polish child has were mysteriously blank - as too was her early childhood memory.

Discussing her only early memory, she said: "Beach and water, like sea or ocean, and there were turtles and children … and I remembered light-coloured buildings, like white or very light colours, sunlight on this buildings."

It's claimed that this memory has a resemblance of the architecture and environment in which Madeleine disappeared almost 16 years ago.

Julia's parents previously admitted they were devastated by the whole situation and claimed she wasn't receiving treatment she needed for mental health issues.

In a statement released in February, they revealed: "For us as a family it is obvious that Julia is our daughter, granddaughters, sister, niece, cousin and step niece.

"Threats to our address from Julia, her lies and manipulations, activity on the internet. The interest won’t forget, and it’s obvious that Julia isn’t Maddie. We are devastated at this current situation."

Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine's parents, are yet to make any official statement on the matter.
