CHAIYAPHUM: A 23-year-old woman has been arrested in Thep Sathit district for posting pornographic videos and stills on her Twitter account, her second such offence, police said.
Police executed a warrant issued by Chaiyaphum provincial court and searched a house in tambon Watabaek of Thep Sathit district on Wednesday.
They later arrested Prapaporn Plianthong, known as Nan.
Seized from her bedroom were a mobile phone and three sex toys, said Pol Col Itthichok Kerdphol, deputy Chaiyaphum police chief, who led the raid.
He said investigators had learned that Ms Prapaporn had uploaded pornographic videos and still photos onto her Twitter accounts So’nan meeting, Sex120K and story of Nan @9kn3080, which had more than 200,000 followers.
Subscribers had paid to view them, sending money via prompt pay to Ms Prapaporn.
The woman allegedly admitted uploading the pornography, and told police she had made the videos and taken the photos herself, according to the arresting team.
Ms Prapaporn was taken to Thep Sathit police station.
She was charged with putting pornographic material into a computer system accessible to the public and producing, possessing and distributing pornographic photos and videos. She confessed to all charges, according to police.
Police said she had previously been arrested for similar offences on May 22 last year.
