Carroll, from Glasgow, was charged with murder.

She made no plea and was remanded in custody.

We told how tributes came pouring in for mum Catherine following her death.

One person said: “I’ve been friends with Catherine Anne since I was 15, didn’t see her much in recent years as our lives had taken two totally separate paths but she was harmless and had a heart of gold.”

Another added: "RIP Catherine Anne, thoughts and prayers are with your kids & family.

"A beautiful soul took to soon."

Detective Inspector Pauline Thomson, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Catherine Ann at this difficult time.”
