Woman charged with attempted murder after incident at hospital

A woman has been charged with attempted murder after an incident at a hospital.

Lesley Hill appeared at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on Tuesday morning via video link from psychiatric hospital Arbury Court. She is accused of the attempted murder of Dianne Kinsella on December 31, 2021.

The alleged attack took place at Southport and Formby District General Hospital. The 69-year-old spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth, and to say she understood the charges.

Hill will next appear at Liverpool Crown Court on February 7.
