A woman charged with attempted murder after a block of flats in Aberdeen was set on fire has been released on bail.
Jeanette Bruce appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court after the blaze ripped through the building in Printfield Terrace, in the Hilton area of the city, at around 4.30am on Sunday, July 26.
It was reported that five families, with 12 children, escaped as the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service put out the fire.
Nobody was injured but two men and a woman were taken to hospital.
Officers from Police Scotland launched an investigation, treating the fire as deliberate.
Police confirmed that Bruce had been charged with wilful fire-raising to danger of life and attempted murder.
The 47-year-old appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.
She also faced a charge under the Air Weapons and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2015.
Bruce made no plea and was released on bail.
A Police Scotland previously told the Record: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 47-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an attempted murder after a fire at Printfield Terrace in Aberdeen on Sunday, July 26.
"She is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, Thursday, August 27."
