Woman charged, man stable after alleged Scenic Drive domestic stabbing

A WOMAN will face court on Thursday after an alleged domestic-related stabbing on the Central Coast.

Tuggerah Lakes police were called to Scenic Drive in Budgewoi about 7.20am on Wednesday after reports of a dispute.

Officers had received information that a man who left the house before they arrived had suffered a significant stab injury to his shoulder blade, police said.

Investigators established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.

About 10am they found a man, 44, near shops in the street. He was treated at the scene before he taken to the John Hunter Hospital.

Police said he remained in a stable condition.

A woman, 46, was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong police station.

She was charged with domestic violence wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and refused bail.

She is due to face Wyong Local Court on Thursday.
