Woman charged following hit-and-run on Alexandra Parade

A woman has been charged following a hit and run on Alexandra Parade , Police Scotland confirm.

A car failed to stop following a collision with a motorcyclist at around 7:45am yesterday, near to its junction with Alexandra Park.

The 18-year-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary to be treated for serious injuries.

A 31-year-old woman has been charged with road traffic offences and will appear at court at a later date.

A report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
