The incident happened on Sunday evening when the youngsters were involved in a "minor collision" with a vehicle which police said left the scene.

Tracey Williams was arrested and has since been charged with failing to stop after a collision and drink driving in connection with the incident.

The 58-year-old, of Capesthorne Road, will appear before Warrington Magistrates Court next month in order to face the charges.
