Woman charged after incident during Prince Philip's funeral

A woman has been charged with public disorder after an incident during the funeral for Prince Philip in Windsor.

A 55-year-old woman from Surrey will appear in court on Monday.

An incident took place in Windsor shortly after the minute's silence at 3pm, reports BerkshireLive.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "A woman has been charged in connection with an incident of public order at the funeral of His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip yesterday (17/4).

"Marissa Scott, aged 55, of Alderstead Lane, Merstham, was charged this morning (18/4) with one count of causing harassment, alarm or distress under the Public Order.

"The charge relates to an incident just after 3pm near to Windsor Castle.

"Scott will appear before Slough Magistrates’ Court on 10 June."
