Woman charged after drugs found during police raid on Kilmarnock home

A woman has been charged after police found drugs at a house in Kilmarnock.

Police raided a property in Granger Road at 9.15am on Thursday, August 27, and seized a quantity of drugs, including heroin and cannabis.

A 39-year-old woman was arrested and charged in relation to being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.

Locality Policing Inspector for the area, Jason Peter, said: “This is just one part of the work local officers are doing every day to target those criminals who sell drugs and exploit vulnerable people in our town.

“Local people have identified drug dealing as a top priority for policing in the area - we will continue to do all we can to disrupt this type of activity and detect those involved.

“We are committed to working with the community and our partners to tackle issues of local concern - if you have any information that may assist us please get in touch.”

Anyone with information on crime in their community is encouraged to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 (in an emergency always dial 999).

Information can also be passed via the independent charity CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
