A woman has been charged after a crash on the M9 involving a bicycle and which left another woman in hospital.
The shocking incident happened in West Lothian just before 6pm on Friday September, 3, when a bike smashed through a car windscreen.
A 60-year-old woman from Bo'ness, was taken to St John's Hospital to be treated for minor injuries and shock.
Today, cops have confirmed another woman, in her 50s, has now been charged in connection.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A woman has been charged in connection with a crash on the M9 where a bicycle struck a moving car on the M9.
"The incident happened on the motorway between junctions one and two in West Lothian on Friday, 3 September, 2021.
"The 60-year-old driver of the car involved was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
"A 52-year-old woman has been charged in connection with an insecure load.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
