Police have charged an 18-year-old woman with grievous bodily harm and multiple weapons-related offences following a shooting at a hotel on Queensland's Darling Downs.

Karleeah Marie Jensen was charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, wounding, dangerous conduct with a weapon, unlawful possession of weapons (firearm) and authority required to possess explosives.

Ms Jensen had her case mentioned briefly in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday but did not appear or apply for bail.

Police established a crime scene at the Annand Street hotel on Tuesday night after a sawn off shotgun was discharged and two people were injured. A 16-year-old girl suffered a serious injury to her arm.

Authorities said a group of people known to each other were in a hotel room when the incident occurred, and are assisting police with their inquiries.

A 37-year-old woman also suffered chest and arm injuries and was taken Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition. She has since been discharged.

A full brief of evidence is expected to be provided to the teenager's defence lawyer by March 22.

Her matter is expected to return to court on April 12.
