Woman caught vandalising cars near Scots harbour handed police warning

A woman has been handed a police warning after a video emerged on social media of her vandalising cars near a Scots harbour.

The 39-year-old was traced by cops when a Facebook video posted on the Fife Jammers page racked up thousands of views.

In the footage, the woman can be seen approaching two parked cars in Burntisland, Fife, before spraying something across the windscreens and bodywork.

The 39-second clip was filmed on the town's Lammerlaws Road and was posted online on July 15.

In the footage she can be seen walking with a can in her hand as she reaches a dark blue car and sprays something on the windscreen.

A light blue Audi is parked directly behind the first target and the woman also vandalises this vehicle by spraying the front window.

She continues her spraying spree by returning to the dark blue car - thought to be a Jaguar - as she blasts the windscreen yet again.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Following a social media video of an incident in Burntisland, a 39-year-old woman was traced and received a Recorded Police Warning.”
