Woman caught on camera 'vandalising' flash cars at Scots harbour as cops launch probe

This is the shocking moment a woman is allegedly caught on camera 'vandalising' cars near a Scots harbour.

Police are investigating the video that appears to show the woman approach two parked motors in Burntisland, Fife, before spraying an unknown substance across the windscreens and bodywork.

The 39-second clip uploaded on social media, filmed on the town's Lammerlaws Road, has since gone viral on Facebook with more than 150,000 views.

She is seen walking toward a dark blue car with a can in her hand and proceeds to spray it across the windscreen.

The light blue Audi parked directly behind near a grassy verge receives the same treatment with the spray again being used across the car's front window.

She returns to the dark blue car, which appears to be a Jaguar, and gives the windscreen another blast with the spray.

Online, locals were outraged.

Writing on the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook page, one wrote: "What an evil horrible thing to do, bet she's a local that's sick of folks parking in what she see's as her area. Hope she gets caught, she should he ashamed of herself."

Another added: "Absolutely disgusting behaviour... I hope the police are investigating this incident."

It is unclear at this time what the spray contained or how much, if any, damage has been done to the vehicles.

Police have launched a probe and have confirmed the incident has been reported to them.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We have received a report of concern regarding a social media video showing an incident in Burntisland.

"Enquiries are at an early stage."
