People in Wirral claim they suffered sleepless nights after being plagued by a mysterious noise that has been heard "for days".
The mysterious "beeping" sound has been heard around the clock by people across Wallasey, as well as some people in Rock Ferry.
Nic Marie McIntyre was walking her dog on Sunday, December 26, when she recorded the sound that many locals have been taunted by for days.

She told the ECHO: "It's driving me insane.
"It's been a constant 24 hour high pitched noise or alarm for about four days.
"I've heard it since December 23, going on 24 hours a day.
"It's kept my four kids awake during the night all over Christmas and only went quiet yesterday (Monday, December 27)."
In the video, Nic records the piercing sound while she walks outside the industrial estate on Dock Road in Wallasey.
Last week the ECHO reported that people in the Poulton area of Wallasey had reported a “very loud continuous hum” which had affected the sleep of many residents on Christmas Eve.
People in the area reported hearing the constant noise from around 4am.
Numerous people took to social media throughout Boxing Day complaining of the ongoing 'beeping' noise which they said they had heard for a number of days.
At 1.17am on Sunday morning, one person took to Facebook to ask locals “what is that buzzing noise?”
One woman wrote: “Doing my head in now the noise.”
Another said she had heard the buzzing for two days and was unable to sleep, while another local said she had heard the noise for longer.
She wrote: “I thought it was something like a house alarm, that was three days ago. It's still going!”
Later that day at 8.54pm, another person posted: "Does anyone actually know what that beeping noise is that's been going on for about four days now?"
Some on social media speculated it could have been noise emanating from the docks, while others suggested a house alarm.
People from as far as Rock Ferry have also reported hearing the sound, which remains a mystery to people in the borough.
A spokesperson for Wirral Council said: "The Environmental Health team told me we have not received any complaints relating to a humming noise and at present are not aware of any possible sources."
