The job market is slowing down, and job seekers, especially those just out of college, can definitely feel it.
Some people may even need a stroke of magic to get a new job, and according to one TikToker, an Etsy purchase might help.
In a video that has garnered over 216,200 views, TikTok creator Nikita Kekovi (@nikita.kekovi) says an unlikely source may have opened some employment opportunities for her: an Etsy witch.
What Was the Etsy Witch Able to Do?
“OK, no, this is actually crazy,” Kekovi begins.
She says she had been seeing “Etsy witches” all over her For You Page and decided to try one out for herself.
“I’m a contract worker, so unfortunately, my job is coming to an end soon,” she explains.
According to Kekovi, she had spent the past two months looking for jobs and trying to land interviews without much luck.
“I mean, given the job market nowadays, what do you expect, right?” she says.
Then, last week, she says she found a witch on Etsy.
“Her name is Robyn,” Kekovi says. “I asked her to do a job spell for me.”
According to Kekovi, something changed almost immediately after that.
“Tell me why today I just got my second job interview,” she says. “Not one, but my second. Like this can’t be a coincidence.”
She then says she’s going to respond to the email to set up the interview.
“And this weekend I’m hitting up my girl Robyn for another spell,” she adds.
Commenters Say It Worked for Them, Too
In the comments section, some viewers claimed they had similar experiences with Etsy spells.
“I can absolutely vouch for Robyn’s Rituals,” one user wrote. “I bought a spell two weeks ago and cannot believe the results.”
Another commenter said they bought a spell when their contract was coming to an end.
“It works!” they wrote. “When my contract was ending with company A (they filed for bankruptcy), I got an etsy witch right away. I was absorbed by the company who bought them out (company B). after 6 weeks, company A called and asked if I can freelance for them. Amazing!”
“I paid for one a little over a week ago and I already have a new job that I’m starting in june,” a third added.
What’s an Etsy Witch?
An “Etsy witch” is a spiritual practitioner who sells spell-casting services on online marketplaces such as Etsy. Etsy, in particular, has become one of the go-to places to find such kinds of services.
Witches offer anything from spells meant to improve different areas of your life to soulmate drawings, protection spells, and even apartment-hunting spells.
Whether the spells actually impact the buyer’s life is debated, but #WitchTok on TikTok is alive and well. Thousands of people claim these spells work, saying they’ve brought real improvements, opportunities, or strange coincidences into their lives.
