Have you ever heard of hyperosmia?
It's the medical term for having an incredibly heightened sense of smell and is something many people experience and live with.
For some, it can be seen as a sort of super sense, for others, the extreme scents can be debilitating.
A woman named Mary Epworth, from London has self-diagnosed herself with hyperosmia and opened up about how it impacts her daily.
Speaking to Stylist.co.uk, Mary explained how she only recently realised she had an "amplified" sense of smell.

She said: "Up until a few years ago, I assumed everybody experienced the same intense reactions as me.
"When I started speaking to more people about it I realised that I have the ability to smell things before anybody else can."
She goes on to give examples of smells she struggles with, including unsurprisingly, gutters in London and plug-in air fresheners which can make her feel very sick.
"If there's one in the vicinity I have to find it - even if I'm in a busy pub - and turn it off," she says.
But Mary says there are some upsides to being a super smeller.
And the main one is that she's able to predict when she's going to get a migraine .
"I always know when I'm going to get a migraine because my sense of smell becomes much more heightened and the smell of everyday cleaning products becomes unbearable to the point of nausea," she claims.
She adds that for her, living with hyperosmia is "normal" and is likely to do with her genetic wiring, as both her late dad and mum have both previously had strong sense of smell.
