Woman calls bouncer the N-word and spits in vile racist outburst in street

A woman was filmed calling a black bouncer the N-word and spitting during a vile racist tirade after she was reportedly refused entry into a bar.

The video - which has been widely shared on social media - shows the unnamed woman arguing with door staff member Tristan Price during a night out in Birmingham city centre on Saturday.

She tries to shout to her friends inside the venue in Broad Street and is refused entry by the bouncer, who remains calm during the altercation.

The woman then shoves him and calls him a "black c***t" and then while walking away repeatedly shouts "f****** n*****" before spitting at Mr Price in full view of fellow revellers.

Mr Price published the video himself on Instagram along with a post in which he explained he previously would have brushed "it under the carpet but them times are over".

He said: "I haven't been doing security for years like some, but in the short time I've been doing it I've seen and been through pretty much anything there is to see and go through whilst doing the job.

"This however, is something I, or anyone who looks like me shouldn't have to go through.

"There was a time I'd go through things like this and brush it under the carpet but them times are over."

It has been viewed more than 1.5 million times and sparked outrage among commenters.

A profile, believed to belong to the woman, states she works for Worcester Bosch.

In response, the company confirmed the woman was previously employed by its cleaning contractor until 2018.

In a statement posted on its Twitter page this morning, it said: "Contrary to social media postings concerning a racist incident, we can confirm that the person was never directly employed by Worcester Bosch but via our cleaning contractor. The contractors have confirmed that she was dismissed by them on 17th September 2018.

"Our thoughts are with the victim of this hurtful and very public attack.

"We are truly saddened at the social media attack directed unfairly at our brand. We confirm that we have zero tolerance for racist behaviour, both within and outside of the workplace.

"We respectfully ask that if you have shared this video and connected Worcester Bosch to this event that you also share this statement."

In an earlier statement, Bosch said: "We are aware of a video that is currently circulating online involving a woman who claims she works for our company.

"At the moment we are unsure if this person does work for us, but rest assured if this is the case, we take a zero tolerance approach to racism in any form and this matter will be dealt with the utmost urgency and seriousness."

Birmingham Police Chief Inspector James Spencer said in a statement this morning: "We're aware of video showing a woman directing racist abuse at a member of door staff in Broad Street over the weekend.

"It's been crimed as a racially aggravated harassment offence and we are investigating.

"It's an awful incident and people are understandably disgusted. We are prioritising the investigation.

"Our city centre police teams have been working hard with local businesses to make the city a safe and enjoyable place to visit.

"Racist behaviour is completely unacceptable and we are taking this report very seriously."
