A shop has apologised to a customer who bought a a bottle of Coke - but the receipt showed a very rude alternative. The woman was buying a Diet Coke when the till machine flashed as Diet Co*k instead.
She said the typo had both her and her niece laughing as they checked out of MBROS Superstore, Swindon, Wilts. "It came up on the screen in the shop, I had to look at it twice to make sure I read it right", she said.
Continuing, she added: "The lady asked if I wanted a receipt. I said yes as wanted to see if it was on there. We left the shop and it was, I did chuckle. When I came home I did wonder [if it would be as funny] if a child bought it, so I messaged the store.
"I then obviously put it on social media and all my friends found it hilarious, they all want one haha." When the customer got in touch with MBROS, they responded with a message starting 'oh my God' before confirming they'll be amending the typo.
The reply read: "Omg im so sorry for this. thank you so much for letting us know. Apologies if it's offended you also. We will get this sorted."
