A home cook whose frying pan looked ready for the bin has saved herself the cost of a new one thanks to an 89p cleaning product and a blubt knife.
The woman took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group Facebook page, to show the results of her efforts to bring an old frying pan back to life.
She quickly gained more then 1,000 likes and hundreds of comments, reports The Mirror.
She wrote: "Can't afford a new frying pan and my one desperately needed a clean.
"Nothing would work on it apart from The Pink Stuff - 89p in Home Bargains - and I have a sort of clean frying pan."
She also used a blunt knife to chip off bigger marks.
One fan replied: "That’s absolutely brilliant!"
Another wrote: "Wow!!! You did a fantastic job, you must have been doing that for ages."
Others raved about The Pink Stuff, saying: "I used the paste for my pans and it was fantastic, they came up brand new. Also used it for my white oven dish - was excellent."
A second added: "I have cleaned today with The Pink Stuff paste - an iron cast casserole dish that was badly burnt yesterday by my boyfriend.
"It doesn't look as new bit definitely doesn't have any burnt marks anymore, amazing cleaning product."
