Woman blasts manager after being asked to come into work days after her mum died

A woman slammed her boss after she was asked whether she would be coming into work shortly after her mum passed away.

The woman shared her story in a video on her TikTok ( @thatcountryahhblackgirl ), which showed a screenshot of the text exchange between the pair.

She captioned it: "Told y’all that I was gonna quit :)."

In the text, a previous message from the woman's boss reads: "Hey I heard about your mom passing. I'm sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how you must feel."

Before they added: "Let me know if you need anything. I'm here for you!"

Grateful, the woman thanked her boss.

But a later text shows the manager asking if she was "still good to work today right?" only a day after they had first sent their condolences.

The text overlay of the video reads: "My ex-manager was hella insensitive."

Stunned, she then responded with two voice notes.

The first heard her say: "I can barely breathe. What kind of question is that? I’m not f****ing back. I will never come back," she can be heard saying.

"Who the f**k asks somebody that not even a week after their goddamn mama died?"

"I have to get used to not talking to my d*** mama every day," she continued.

In the second one, she added: "Hell nah, I’m not done. You don't give a f*** about anyone except that go****n job."

"Would you die knowing you were a good f***ing person? Don’t answer that cause I'm blocking you."

Since being posted, the video, which has been viewed more than 865,000 times, has racked up more than 217,500 likes and 2,800 comments from viewers who were disgusted by how insensitive the boss was.

One person said: "That was hilarious sorry it was under these circumstances."

Another wrote: "THE SECOND ONE PLEASE YOU DRAGGED YOUR MANAGER."

A third commented: "That second note, you really was like 'well since I'm quitting let's clear the air.'"

"As you should," wrote someone else.
