A woman has explained how she managed to get an incredible £30 worth of Morrisons shopping for the incredible price of £3.09.
Zoe Stanyer, 25, managed to bag everything from pies to potatoes to loaves of bread, sausage rolls and grapes.
And it was all thanks to the Morrisons Magic Boxes - available on the Too Good To Go app. These package up the food that they can't sell that day - but is close to its sell-buy limit - to big boxes that people can then buy for a bargain price using the app.
"I managed to purchase two Morrison’s Magic Boxes last Thursday and was able to collect them Friday evening," Zoe told LatestDeals.co.uk.
"The pick up was really easy and quick."
But the NHS worker from Stoke-on-Trent was still surprised at just how much food she got.
"The boxes I got were huge - I was very impressed. I couldn’t believe the size of them as I had only paid £3.09 each," Zoe said.
"They were fully packed with all different types of food including sausage rolls, pastries and pies, a loaf of bread, fruit, veg, donuts, cookies, four sharing bags of crisps, cream, custard, milk and two full-sized chocolate trifles.”
Adding it all up, each box had £30 worth of food in, she estimated.
"I worked out I probably saved easily £20 to £30 if not more,” Zoe said.
"Some stuff was put in the freezer, while others were eaten over the next few days. I ended up having an afternoon tea with a few friends as there was so much."
"The boxes do sell out very quickly so it is just a case of checking the Too Good To Go app daily, however it’s definitely worth it once you get lucky enough to get one.
"It would be good to see other supermarkets joining in as it’s a great way to ensure less food gets thrown away.
"I would highly recommend the app to everyone - I have already got a bunch of friends to download it and they think it’s great too.”
