Woman baffled as 'secret Santa' sends over 40 Amazon parcels to her address

A woman has been left baffled after being inundated with Amazon parcels she didn't order straight to her front door. Olivia Douglass, known as @oliviamccdouglass on TikTok, claims to have received more than 40 packages to her house under somebody else's name in the run up to Christmas.

She contacted Amazon to try to get to the bottom of why it keeps happening - but says she was told "not to worry about it".

In her video, which has been viewed more than three million times, Olivia says: "Does anybody else have a secret Santa that just keeps sending packages to your house but in their name? And you reach out to Amazon because you're like, 'Hey someone's packages keep coming to my house, it's my address but it's their name,' and they say, 'Oh, don't worry about it. They probably submitted a claim so just keep the packages'."

Joking around, Olivia says she was happy to go along with it when there was just 12 packages - but now there's around 40 of them blocking up her hallway, it's becoming somewhat of a problem.

Commenting on the video, one user said: "The self control you have to collect that many packages without opening them, I could never."

Another user joked: "How does it feel to be Jeff Bezos' favourite?"

A third user said: "Sounds like someone accidentally put the wrong registry address."

Since the woman has been told she can keep the packages, she decided to open them on camera with the help of her husband.

But their contents wasn't quite what she was expecting, as most of them were packed to the brim with American eagle flags.

The patriotic flags sell for about $14.99 on Amazon.

Now that's she's the proud owner of about one hundred of them, she is asking people to contact her if they're interested in taking some of them off her hands, saying they will only have to pay for shipping.

An Amazon spokesperson said: "If customers have any issues, we encourage them to report it to our customer services team so that we can investigate and take the appropriate actions."
