Woman baffled after neighbour makes 'sex noise' complaint as she recovers from surgery

We've all spent a lot more time at home over the past year - and it's not always been great for relationships with our neighbours.

It's easy to forget that they can sometimes overhear what is going inside your house or flat.

One woman was left baffled after receiving a note from her letting agent asking her to move her headboard away from the wall.

Her mum shared the full note on Twitter, where she joked: "My daughter got a complaint letter from her letting agents. She said she might frame it!"

But she explained that the note was rubbish, adding: "To be honest there is no accuracy about the letter whatsoever! My daughter had back surgery 2 weeks ago and doesn’t have a headboard."

The note left people in stitches (DeliriousDatingDamsel/Twitter)

The full note said: "This is a rather delicate matter but I have been asked to approach you as you are disturbing your neighbours with what sounds like noises of a sexual nature which they can hear quite clearly day after day, in the morning and in the evening.

"Also, what sounds like the headboard banging against the wall.

"They would all be most grateful if you could put something between the headboard and the wall and also make less noise as they find it extremely embarrassing.

"As you can imagine, this is not a letter I relish sending but feel that you maybe are not remotely aware that you can be heard.

"Should you wish to contact me, please don't hesitate."

The note left people in stitches on Twitter - as people shared their similar awkward situations.

One person commented: "My dad was at the cinema back in the 1950s and an usher asked him to stop kissing as the noise was a distraction. He shined his torch at him [and] he told me he was eating a toffee!"

Another said: "Definitely frame it, the poor agent must have felt so awkward lol."

A third added: "You can just imagine the various conversations that have gone on between the neighbours and the agent and then the people in the agency who had to write the letter!!"
