Woman attacked in Cheetham Hill - police have launched an investigation

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was attacked in Cheetham Hill.

Emergency services were alerted to reports of an assault on Bloomfield Drive at around 11.20am on Sunday, May 17.

Officers attended and a 33-year-old woman was found hurt.

She was taken to hospital.

The woman's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Greater Manchester Police have launched an investigation.

No arrests have been made.

A statement from GMP said: "At around 11.20am on Sunday, May 17, 2020, police were called to reports of an assault on Broomfield Drive, Manchester.

"Officers attended and a 33-year-old woman was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"An investigation is underway.

"No arrests have been made."
