Woman attacked at Tesco car park in front of her kids

A woman was left "shaken" after a man hit her around the face in front of her two children.

The victim, in her 40s, was struck in the car park of the Tesco superstore in Station Road, Weston-super-Mare.

Avon and Somerset Police say the assault happened outside the supermarket on Sunday, November 15, between 2.20pm and 2.40pm.

Another woman stopped to speak to her afterwards, and police are keen to track her down as well as anyone else who saw what happened.

A witness appeal released yesterday (November 26) reads: "A woman in her 40s was hit in the face by a male offender while in the company of her two children.

"She didn’t suffer serious injuries but was left shaken by the incident.

"Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault, particularly a female passer-by who was seen to stop and speak to the victim."

The man is described as a white, about 5ft 5ins tall, of average build with short dark hair.

He was wearing a black jacket and black jeans.
