Woman at Faslane peace camp bit cop on leg and threatened to slash officers’ throats

A woman at Faslane peace camp bit a cop on the leg and threatened to slash officers’ throats when they went to break up a rowdy party, a court heard.

Anya Suttie, 23, of Alexandria , Dunbartonshire, and co-accused Andrew Simpson, 43, were spared jail.

Simpson, 43, ran at police, calling them “c***s” – and when he was searched was found to be carrying a knife.

Cops called to noise complaints at the base on March 23 asked for music to be turned down but as they left, Suttie threw a rock at their windscreen.

The glass shattered and Suttie told officers: “I will slash your throat.”

After fleeing, she was arrested but bit a police officer on the calf.

Suttie pled guilty to charges of vandalism, threatening or abusive behaviour and police assault at Faslane.

She also admitted two charges of police assault after being arrested in a separate incident involving a noise complaint in Vale of Leven a month later.

Simpson, 43, of Aberdour Street, Glasgow, admitted threatening or abusive behaviour at the Navy base and one charge of police assault in Vale of Leven.

They were both put on community payback orders for 15 months.
