Woman astonished over 'red flag' note man handed to her while on date

A woman was left astonished after being passed a note from a stranger while she was in a coffee shop.

The stranger handed her the mysterious note while she was on a date.

Halia took to the platform Twitter to disclose the contents of the note - and quickly went viral in the process, as people online flocked to comment on the situation.

Halia posted: "I had coffee with a guy yesterday. When he went to the bathroom, the gay guy sitting behind me passed me this note."

Birmingham Live reports that the note said: "Too many red flags. Run. Be safe girl."

She added: "It honestly wasn’t THAT bad….until after he came out the bathroom. Everything he said after the note was a major red flag."

31,000 people have retweeted the note, with well over 3,000 quote tweets too.

One replied: "did you listen? cause if anyone knows men better, it’s GAY MEN"

And a second agreed, writing: "I can't help but wonder how bright red those flags were for a complete stranger notice AND write a warning note. Big yikes."

"Men who date men know men.. you might wanna listen girl, ijs," said another.

And another wrote: "I’m not saying believe him sis but.....BELIEVE HIM SIS"

But not everybody was impressed.

"Why not just turn around and say that instead of writing it down?" asked another.

And another joked: "What kind of psychopath randomly capitalizes the last letter of the sentence"

"This sounds like a fun night out! I'll go hang in Starbucks, listening in on conversations, and pass notes saying "red flag" and "run". How many of those freaky guys turn out to be the woman's husband? " another asked.
