Woman assaulted in Glasgow's Tollcross Park as police hunt dog walker

A woman has been assaulted in Tollcross Park by a dog walker in broad daylight.

She was approached by the man from behind in the park at around 1:45pm. Police arrived at the scene after the incident was reported.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are appealing to the public for information.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of February 9.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 1.45pm on Wednesday, 9 February, officers received a report of a woman assaulted by a man after he approached her from behind in Tollcross Park.

"Officers attended and police enquiries are ongoing to trace the man responsible.

"He was walking his dog at the time and any witnesses or anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference 1623 of February 9."
