Woman 'assaulted after having her hair cut during row outside beauty salon'

A woman was allegedly assaulted outside a beauty salon following an apparent disagreement after a haircut.

A 27-year-old woman was injured in the incident, along with a 49-year-old woman, Police in Birmingham said.

Footage of the incident outside Aria Hair and Beauty Salon in Sparkbrook, appears to show a woman dressed in black being surrounded by three women and repeatedly punched.

The woman’s headscarf also appears to have been pulled in the fight, before three men apparently intervene and break up the situation.

The fight lasts for around a minute before it is broken up.

West Midlands police said the disagreement is believed to have “ensued following a haircut at the premises” on 30 June.

Police said a 27-year-old woman was injured in the fight and a 49-year-old woman also injured. They have not released information about the other people involved in the fight.

Aria Hair and Beauty Salon has been contacted by The Independent for comment, but none had arrived at the time of publication.
