A woman has been arrested in a Valleys town for carrying a knife. South Wales Police said they responded to reports of an disturbance at an address in Station Street, Penygraig on Saturday at approximately 12.40pm. In a statement the force said: "A 32-year-old woman was arrested a short time later on suspicion of possessing a bladed article and criminal damage."
South Wales Police have also confirmed that there were no reported injuries and that the suspect remains in in custody. Reports from the scene suggested a heavy police presence in the area with multiple police vehicles at the scene.
