Woman arrested over violent outburst in KFC outlet

A young woman has been arrested for smashing up a KFC store and assaulting staff at the outlet along Adelaide's notorious Hindley Street.

Police were called to the fast-food venue just after 9:30pm on Friday after reports of a disturbance.

The 20-year-old from Magill in the city's east was arrested and charged with disorderly behaviour, property damage and two counts of assault.

Police alleged she spat at patrol officers and also charged her with two counts of aggravated assault against police.

In a video of the incident posted on social media, the woman can be seen hurling objects including what appears to be an EFTPOS machine behind the counter.

In the footage, she repeatedly refers to staff as "c***s" and "f***ing retards" and exclaims "I almost got you" after hurling one item.

Police said the woman will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
