Woman charged over death of Warwick toddler Connor Horan

A 40-year-old woman has been charged over the 2018 death of a two-year-old boy in Warwick, in Queensland's Southern Downs.

Connor Horan was being babysat in August 2018, when he was taken to hospital with multiple head and internal injuries.

He was declared dead at the hospital on August 19, 2018.

Today, police said they had conducted "extensive investigations" with the Child Trauma Unit and charged the woman with one count each of murder and grievous bodily harm.

She is due to appear in the Warwick Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Last month, police joined the heartbroken mother and grandmother of Connor Horan, to plead with members of the public to come forward with information about his death.

In a statement, Detective Acting Inspector Matt Howard thanked the community for its assistance.

"This was a very tragic incident and our detectives have been committed to finding answers for Connor's family," he said.
