Woman arrested on suspicion of murder after man’s body found in van

  • A murder investigation has been launched after a man's body was discovered inside a white Ford Transit van in Leicester on Wednesday evening.
  • Leicestershire Police found the body after responding to concerns about the van, which is registered to an address in south west London.
  • A 39-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in Hounslow, London, on suspicion of murder and remains in custody.
  • The Metropolitan Police have taken over the investigation, establishing a crime scene at a house in Sutton Dene, east Hounslow.
  • Detectives are appealing for public assistance, particularly for information or footage of the van (BF18 VNV) travelling to Leicester before Wednesday, 27 May.
