Woman arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after teenager suffered 'number of stab wounds'

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder after a teenager was stabbed in Bristol.

Police were called to Ridgeway Road in Fishponds at around 8pm on Friday (February 12) to reports a person had been attacked.

A 17 year-old boy was found with multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition.

The incident sparked a massive police operation with officers searching the area along with the police helicopter and forensic officers on scene.

One man who was arrested on Friday night has since been released without charge.

An 18 year-old woman has now been arrested in connection with the assault and remains in police custody.

A police spokesman said: “A woman has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Fishponds on Friday 12 February.

“A 17-year-old male sustained a number of stab wounds at about 8pm while in the Ridgeway Road area.

“He was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

"An 18-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

"She remains in custody at this time.

“Enquiries are ongoing and we are continuing with additional reassurance patrols.”
