Woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following Knowle stabbing is released on bail

A 39-year-old woman, arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in Knowle, has been released under police investigation.

The victim was rushed to hospital after the knife attack on Ilminster Avenue, which happened at around 8am on April 27.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the man, in his 40s, is now in a 'stable' condition.

Detectives have launched a major investigation into the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A force spokesman previously told Bristol Live: "A man, in his 40s, received a single stab wound and has been taken to hospital. His injuries are described as serious.

"Anyone with information about what happened is asked to report it online, or call 101, giving reference number 5220091514."

Today (Wednesday), the spokesman confirmed a woman arrested in connection to the attack has been 'released under police investigation'.
