Woman faces court charged with murder after death of Ceduna man

The woman was arrested at a Port Augusta home.

A woman has faced court charged with murder following the death of a man at Port Augusta in South Australia's north.

Monica Vivianne Liza Walley, 34, is accused of murdering a 35-year-old man from Ceduna just after 11:30pm on Wednesday.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Mealy Street after hearing reports of a man with serious stab wounds.

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital, but died shortly after arrival.

Police said Ms Walley was then found at a home on Mealy Street and she was known to the man.

She faced the Port Augusta Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody.

She did not apply for bail and the matter was adjourned to return to court in November.
