TWO people were arrested around the Orange Order’s annual Boyne parade through Glasgow, where thousands marched through the streets.
Police thanked the “vast majority” who took part in the event on Saturday, which saw bands parading with music and banners before gathering at Glasgow Green.
Police Scotland said a 31-year-old woman was arrested over “acts of disorder”.
A 21-year-old man not connected with the parade was arrested “in connection with obstructing officers and an outstanding warrant”.
Three other people were ticketed by police.
The annual walk is organised by the County Grand Orange Lodge of Glasgow and commemorates the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
Superintendent Natalie Carr said: “A proportionate policing plan was in place, and we worked with a range of partners to ensure public safety and minimise disruption to the wider community.
“A 31-year-old woman was arrested in connection with acts of disorder during the parade.
“She will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
“Two men were issued with fixed-penalty notices for assault and a woman was also issued with a fixed penalty notice for disorder.
“Additionally, a 21-year-old man not connected with the parade was arrested in connection with obstructing officers and an outstanding warrant.
“I would like to thank the vast majority of the participants, and the wider public, who engaged positively and behaved responsibly throughout.”
