Woman arrested after police find stolen Audi in her back garden

A 39-year-old woman has been arrested after police found a stolen Audi in her back garden.

The arrest took place yesterday in the Westvale area of Kirkby after police observed four men in an Audi.

Police said they suspected the Audi, found in a back garden, had a false registration plate and that the car was stolen. A woman, 39, was arrested at the scene, the force confirmed today.

Police said they then found a further 13 registration plates inside the house.

A police spokesman said: "A 39 year old female was arrested after a stolen vehicle was located in her rear garden.

"Officers observed four males in the vehicle earlier and following a closer inspection, the registration plate was not a match to the true identity, the vehicle having been stolen previously.
