Woman arrested after firearms, ammunition and £50,000 drug stash seized in Drumchapel bust

Firearms, ammunition and drugs have been seized in a Drumchapel police raid.

Cops swooped on three homes in Tallant Road yesterday, recovering two firearms and a stash of drugs with an estimated street value of £50,000. The main quantity is believed to be heroin.

A 44-year-old woman was arrested and charged. She is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Inspector Jim Bradley, based at Baird Street Police Station, said: "We will always proactively target people who are believed to be involved in criminal activity and our enquiries remain ongoing.

"I would encourage people with any information about drug crime or suspicious behaviour in their area that is potentially linked to criminality to contact us on 101. Information from the public is important and helps us do our job to protect people and our communities."
