Woman arrested after Lexus crashed into wall at 4am

A 36-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a Lexus crashed into a wall at 4am.

Emergency services were called to Hoseside Road in New Brighton, Wallasey around 4am on Tuesday, December 29 following reports a Lexus had crashed.

Pictures from the scene show the aftermath of the incident which left the wall of a popular Wirral dog walking park damaged.

A spokesperson for the police said a woman, from Wirral, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.

Pictures shared with the ECHO show debris from the damaged wall at the scene and the car being lifted onto a recovery vehicle.

In a statement, Merseyside Police said: “Emergency services were called to Hoseside Road shortly before 4am this morning (Tuesday, 29 December) following reports a Lexus had collided with a wall.

“Officers attended and a 36-year-old woman from Wirral was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. She remains in custody for questioning.

“No one was injured during the incident.
