Cops swooped on the property in Leith Walk yesterday and were seen carrying huge evidence bags from the building.

Police have confirmed the seizure was of suspected cannabis plants.

It is unclear what the expected street value of the alleged class-B drugs would have been.

Now cops have said a 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the find and was expected to appear at court later today.

A police spoksperson said : "A 30-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with drugs offences after cannabis plants were found at an address in Leith Walk in Edinburgh on Tuesday, 12 January, 2021.

"She is expected to appear at Edinburgh Court today (Wednesday, 13 January)."

Pictures from the scene yesterday showed cops wearing face-masks as they pulled the almost human-sized bags from the home.
