Woman arrested after aggravated burglary incident in West Belfast

A 37-year-old woman has been arrested following a aggravated burglary incident in West Belfast.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the incident in the Roden Square area of the city in the early hours of this morning, Saturday, May 30.

Detective Sergeant Rachel Miskelly said: "We received a report at around 2:50am that two males and a female forced entry to a property. One male was reported to have been armed with a baseball bat while the other man was reported to have been armed with a hammer.

"Thankfully, the female occupant was not injured during this incident.

"An investigation is underway and a woman, aged 37 years old, has subsequently been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary.  She has been released on bail pending enquiries.

"I would appeal to anyone who has information about this incident to call our detectives at Musgrave CID on 101, quoting reference number 298 of 30/05/20, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
