Woman appalls rest of plane by freshening up at seat - despite toilet being free

Travelling by plane is often uncomfortable. You're sitting next to people you don't know in seats that are far too cramped, and you have to try and sit perfectly still for hours on end without your legs aching.

All you can hope for is that the people sitting next to you don't do something that makes your stomach churn, like eating foul-smelling food or putting their bare feet on the tray table in front of them.

One man wasn't so lucky on his recent flight though, as he revealed the woman sitting next to him on a 14-hour flight back to London decided to freshen up while sitting in her seat - despite sitting just three rows from the available toilets.

The man explained his seatmate brushed her teeth from her seat, spat the excess toothpaste into a cup, and proceeded to leave the cup with her spit in it sitting on her tray table for four hours, instead of just going to the bathroom.

In a post on Reddit, he fumed: "So I was on a 14-hour flight to London. Next to me was an Australian couple. I fell asleep, then woke up to the girl brushing her teeth from her seat?! Then she proceeded to spit in a cup, shook the toothbrush in the air to dry it out, and kept the cup there for four hours.

"The toilets were three rows in front of us (and were free)."

The man also shared a picture of the woman's tray table which had a plastic cup sitting in the cup holder, although the woman's leg was blocking the view of what might be inside it.

Meanwhile, a flight attendant recently shared some of the most annoying and rude habits that passengers have on their flights - including trying to get their attention by clicking, whistling, and even making kissing noises.

The attendant mentioned that in rare cases, a gentle tap on the shoulder may be acceptable, but beyond that, it is incredibly rude and obnoxious.

However, the flight attendant added that they are generally happy to respond to most other methods of getting their attention, as long as they are not overtly rude or demeaning.

They acknowledged that not everyone speaks the same language and people may have their own unique ways of trying to grab their attention. As long as it's done respectfully, they are willing to help.
