A woman and a man have been arrested over the brutal murder of a Drogheda teenager in January 2020.
The pair were arrested in Drogheda and are currently being quizzed separately at a Garda Station in the area and in Ballbriggan.
This brings the total number of people arrested over the murder to seven - but for legal reasons the teenage victim cannot be named.
New laws introduced by the court of repeal under section 252 (1) of the Children Act, 2001 states: "In relation to any proceedings for an offence against a child or where a child is a witness in any such proceedings, no report which reveals the name, address or school of the child or includes any particulars likely to lead to his or her identification' and 'no picture which purports to be or include a picture of the child or which is likely to lead to his or her identification' shall be published or included in a broadcast."
A Garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí in Drogheda investigating the murder of a juvenile in January 2020 have arrested a man and a woman today.
"Both were arrested in Drogheda and are being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007.
"The man is being detained at Drogheda Garda Station, and the woman is detained at Ballbriggan Garda Station.
"This brings to seven the number of arrests in this investigation to date."
