Woman and children threatened by boy with knife in Bridgwater park

A woman and three children were threatened with a knife in a Somerset park.

The incident happened at 2.45pm on Saturday (October 17) in the park on Chamberlin Avenue, Bridgwater.

The boy with the knife was with a big group of children aged between 12 and 15, police say.

Avon and Somerset Police confirmed no one was hurt in the incident but the force are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The boy, who was with a large group of children aged between 12 and 15, is described as white, around 12 or 13-years-old, of slim build with a blonde top knot.

"He was wearing a black and white T-shirt, shorts and rode a black and green scooter. No one was hurt in the incident."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who recognises the description of the boy is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5220235784.
