Woman allegedly assaulted by a man armed with a knife in Cardiff in broad daylight

Police are investigating after a woman was allegedly assaulted by a man who was armed with a knife in Cardiff.

Officers were called to reports of an incident in the Llanishen area of the city around 3.20pm on Thursday, August 13.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said that a 45-year-old local woman was assaulted on Newborough Avenue, Llanishen by a male who was armed with a knife.

He added: "The matter remains under investigation."

No-one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
