A woman aged in her 40s has been hospitalised after suffering burns to her face at Morpeth Wednesday morning.

Four NSW Ambulance crews and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were tasked to the property near Phoenix Park just after 8am, where a spokesperson for the Ambulance said paramedics found the woman had suffered the burns from a petrol fire.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team before she was flown to John Hunter Hospital.

She was said to be in a stable condition.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident earlier in the morning, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked to a collision involving a truck and train at Scone. Paramedics treated a 29 year-old truck driver at the scene after he was pulled from the crushed cabin of his vehicle by a bystander, a spokesperson for the helicopter said.
