A woman in her 30s is being treated in hospital after a crash in Co Clare on Tuesday.
The single-vehicle collision happened at Kilnaboy at around 3.30pm.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and the woman was treated by medical personnel.
National Ambulance Service paramedics, two units of Clare County Fire and Rescue Service, as well as the Irish Community Air Ambulance all responded.
The car is understood to have flipped on its roof after it collided with ditches on both sides of the road.
The injured woman was the only occupant of the vehicle and was airlifted to University Hospital Galway for treatment.
Gardai say their enquiries into the crash are ongoing.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Kilnaboy, Co. Clare at approximately 3:30pm yesterday afternoon, 31st August 2021.
"The driver of the vehicle, a woman aged in her 30s, was taken Galway University Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Enquiries are ongoing."
It follows two fatal crashes on Irish roads this week.
On Monday, two men died after separate incidents in counties Kildare and Tipperary.
An elderly died in a motorbike crash in Kildare on Monday evening.
The tragic incident happened in the Derrycrib area of Donadea at around 6pm.
The driver of the bike, a man in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man in his 40s also died after a road collision in Co Tipperary on Monday evening.
The single-vehicle crash happened at Mainstown in Carrick-on-Suir and despite emergency services and gardai rushing to the scene, the motorist was pronounced dead on arrival.
Gardai have launched appeals for information in relation to both collisions, with witnesses asked to come forward.
